Alexis Chambers - Artist Statement
My series My Friend Hubert and Me is a collection of watercolor paintings that tells stories about myself and a character named Hubert (the goose in the little hat). The paintings are stylized to look like children’s book illustrations along with the light hearted scenes I chose to illustrate. I wanted to make art that not only brought me joy but could also put a smile on other people’s faces.
